Trampoline Prices of Different Types of Trampolines

Kids’ Trampoline

Kids’ trampoline is in the most cases scaled down version of normal trampoline. There are several important differences between trampoline for adults and kids’ trampoline. Trampolines for kids have some form of safety, net or soft cover for metal springs. In past several years, trampolines for children are made without metal springs in order to reduce the chance of injury. Trampolines for children also have less powerful springs, and children are unable to bounce as much as adults can on adult trampolines. In general production kids trampoline has weight capacity around 90 pounds and it is always advised not to allow more than one kid on the trampoline.

Average price for kid’s trampoline is around 400 dollars. There are of course cheap trampolines, but you should not risk the safety of your child by buying 100 dollars worth trampoline. In the second part of this article, I will give you several suggestions for buying a good kids trampoline.

Toddler Trampoline

Toddler trampoline is a type of trampoline that is made for children less than 5 years old. They have small elevated bounce and they come with handlebar with padding so the children can learn how to properly bounce.Toddler trampoline is only about 5 inches of the ground and there is a small chance of fall for kids. My children never fell off one of these, but you should always be there when your kids are playing on the trampoline. Most of the toddler trampolines have bungee cords that might give in to bouncing and break, but considerable force is necessary for that. Luckily your child will not be hurt even if this happens due to lack of bounce power in these trampolines.

When it comes to toddler trampolines you should look at spending around 80 dollars. Price varies as well as quality, but my advice is to go for the high quality, even if the price is high. Safety of your children should always be your primary concern.

Rectangle Trampoline

Buying a rectangle trampoline is a big step and there are pros and cons of a rectangle trampoline you should consider before you buy one. I bought a rectangle trampoline and there are considerable differences between it and normal round trampoline and the major difference is the purpose of the trampoline. I have bought several rectangle trampolines and they can’t be compared to round trampolines. I allowed my children to use rectangle trampoline only after some instructions and for the first week or two, I have kept the bouncing power of the trampoline on very low.

Rectangle trampoline has a lot more bouncing power than round trampoline and it is used by athletes for training. If your child is competitive in sports then the rectangle trampoline will be a good choice for the child. Bouncing on a rectangle trampoline is different than bouncing on a round one. On rectangle trampoline, you choose the direction where you want to bounce and that can be dangerous for the inexperienced, especially for inexperienced children. Round trampolines are used for recreation and all bounces are directed to the center of the trampoline. On the other hand, a bounce on rectangle trampoline can send the jumper out of the trampoline and cause injuries.

There are fully professional rectangle trampolines and then there are amateur rectangle trampolines. The lowest price you should consider paying for a rectangle trampoline is 650 dollars. Bigger rectangle trampolines should be used by experienced individuals only and their price is around 1 500 dollars.

Mini Trampoline

Mini trampoline is the smallest type of trampoline and it is used for workout. There are not adult and children difference in the case of mini trampolines. A mini trampoline can be set to provide higher or lower bouncing effect, depending on the type of workout you want. I have bought one or two mini trampolines because my children always aimed to be successful at sports, and mini trampoline is a good tool for development of many muscles. You should never let a young child or toddler on mini trampoline because it has no safety measures.

Mini trampolines that are made for workout only may cost up to 250 or even 300 dollars. But you might find mini trampolines for around 130 dollars.

Trampoline with Enclosure

No matter what kind of trampoline for your children you are buying, always look for trampoline with enclosure. If a trampoline has good enclosure it will prevent injuries that are bound to happen to the children. In all my life I have never bought a trampoline (except mini trampolines) without some type of enclosure. The enclosure is especially important for rectangle trampolines, and it is foolish to even consider buying a rectangle trampoline that has no enclosure.

Not every enclosure is same and not every safety net offers the same amount of protection. Most of the trampolines you can buy today have safety nets that are capable of preventing the fall of the trampoline, but that is not the only danger a safety net should provide. The bigger danger comes from falling on the outer rail of trampoline and not many safety nets are made to prevent that. Trampolines that have safety nets that offer full protection might be more expensive but they are worth every additional dollar you spend.

Trampoline Reviews - Which is the Best Trampoline for Kids?

As I have stressed several times before, the safety of your children is the most important thing and a trampoline review will tell you everything you need to know about that certain product. I will not go into the trampolines I have bought in the past, but I can and I will give you several examples of good trampolines on the market at the moment. Skywalker is a recognizable name in the world of trampolines and you should check out what they have for sale. For example, 12 foot Skywalker trampoline is only 300 dollars and it comes together with a protective enclosure. The safety net that comes with 12 foot Skywalker trampoline will protect your children from falling out of the boundaries of a trampoline as well as falling on the outer rail or springs. This trampoline is fairly easy to set up and it is sturdy and it has no noted cons.

Skywalker is best known for their 15 foot trampolines and for around 400 dollars you can buy one. I never had any issues with Skywalker trampolines, and I have bought several of them over the years. Trampolines that are 15 feet have been the best choice for my children and I would advise buying 15 foot trampoline over 12 foot one. Skywalker was always my first choice because their trampolines are made to last. 5 feet trampoline from Skywalker comes with PVC spring pad and no-gap enclosure system. This means that your children will be able to jump high, get a lot of exercises and all of that with no risk of injury. Poles that hold the safety net are foam padded and they are on outer rim of the trampoline, away from the actual net, which is further inside.

For those that are looking to buy a toddler trampoline, Little Tikes is a trampoline brand they should look for. I found that Little Tikes makes the best trampolines for toddlers. Their trampolines provide excellent safety for toddlers along with good bouncing power many other toddler trampolines lack.

For youngsters Little Tikes 7 foot trampoline is the best choice. This trampoline costs 260 dollars and it comes with climber and a slide. This little trampoline is made out of heavy duty steel and quite sturdy steel springs. All of that is covered with safety foam which creates perfectly safe jumping trampoline. The safety net that comes with this trampoline protects the toddlers from falling out of the trampoline, and zipper closure is placed on entryway, so there will be no early unexpected exits.

The youngest of children need small trampolines that will burn the huge amount of energy they have. Even though I am not a fan of trampolines without safety nets, I have to say that Little Tikes 3 foot trampoline is a viable choice. This toddler trampoline is made out of metal and plastic and it has handlebar that provides some amount of security for your toddler. The maximum weight capacity for this trampoline is 55 lb, which means that only the youngest of your children should use it. This trampoline lacks any power which is good due to lack of safety net, and for only 100 dollars this might be a good buy.

If you want to buy a mini trampoline you should decide for what kind of use you want it. If you want a mini trampoline for exercise then you should go with JumpSport Fitness or Urban Rebounder and if you want a mini trampoline for recreational purpose as well then PureFun 38 inch is a viable mini trampoline.

JumpSport may be 300 dollars, but it is the best fitness trampoline on the market. It has arched legs that increase the stability and it is very durable trampoline, but it isn’t made for recreational use.

Pure Fun 38 inch trampoline is great for recreational use and it supports over 220 pounds of weight. There are cases of mat damage and spring failure, but for a 60 dollars you will not be able to get a better deal.

JumpSport Fitness rating:
(4.7/5)

Buying the Best Trampoline for Your Child

So, at the end what is the best trampoline for your child? Well, I am not a person that can judge that. Every child is different and you will have to find a trampoline for him. I have bought many trampolines and I have shared my knowledge in this article. If you follow all things from this article you will be able to find the right trampoline for your child.

You must remember to look for right sized trampolines for your kids. Toddler trampolines are good for very young children (up to 7 or 8 years old). Once they grow up, that trampoline will become useless. Kids’ trampoline will serve your children for a long time and if you bought good trampoline you will be able to resell it without any problems.

Rectangle trampolines are expensive, but they are made for both children and adults. No matter how old the child is, rectangle trampoline will be there. And you can have fun on rectangle trampoline as well. But remember, a good safety net is essential for rectangle trampoline. Be sure to buy good safety net that will be able to prevent even you from falling out of the trampoline.

There are many quite inexpensive trampolines on the market, but I would advise against buying those trampolines. Cheap trampoline equals little efforts invested in the trampoline and that equals increased risk of injury. Middle-range trampolines have always been my choice and I never bought a bad trampoline. Let that be your guide when you decide to buy a trampoline.
